Mindfulness for Living
These guided meditations are to accompany Mindfulness for Living and Everyday Mindfulness Courses offered by Stepping Up.
There are currently four guided meditations: a body scan meditation, the mindfulness of breathing, kindly awareness and a three minute breathing space.
Please do not listen to these meditations when you are driving or operating machinery.
Find a place where you will not be disturbed and can meditate in comfort. Turn off any distractions, such as your mobile phone or television. If there is a chance of interruption from other people, let them know that you are meditating, so they can respect your space for this time.
Be aware of your posture, so that you can sit as long as necessary without getting cramp or discomfort that will distract from your meditation. The body scan is best done lying down. Other meditations are best done in a sitting position.
